Internship Funds

Currently the Miller Upton Memorial Endowment includes two internship awards: the Belmark Alumni award and the Jed Rhoads Award. Our goal is to seek funding to permanently endow six internships.

Belmark Associates, a student managed market research group began in 1986 under the direction of three Economics majors: Bill Fitzgerald, Don Van Wart and Dan Spaulding. Since then, over 40 students have managed this organization. In 2006, at the 20th year celebration of the founding of Belmark, alumni committed to raising funds to permanently endow an internship to celebrate the positive experience of being a Belmark Associate. A year later they had successfully completed the fundraising.

Ted Dew provided funds to support an internship in honor of his friend Jed Rhoads ’81 for six years.

The Department of Economics & Management is grateful to the Belmark Alumni and Mr. Dew for their generous support of experiential learning.
