Third Culture Kids

Third Culture Kids, or TCKs, are a growing population on college campuses across the nation. At Beloit we have realized this and established a program for the unique needs of TCKs. TCKs have grown up in cultures outside of their parents’ culture. Having knowledge of and experiences with their parents’ culture/s, in addition to the country/ies they have lived in creates a third culture. TCKs are known by a variety of names such as Global Nomads, Military Brats, Biz Kids, Missionary Kids, Diplomatic Kids, and so on.

Our TCKs find support everywhere they turn; our orientation program, host family program, and advising through the Office of International Education make for a strong, welcoming community. The pages here can connect current and prospective students to a number of resources both on and off campus to prepare them for Beloit!
