Office of Summer Programs

The Office of Summer Programs coordinates the Center for Collections Care, the Center for Language Studies and Beloit Blocks courses. We are located on the second floor of the Writing Center Building and are available weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Nuria Sanjuán Pastor

Director, Office of Summer Programs

Nuria Sanjuán Pastor oversees academic summer programming to ensure that all course offerings draw on current best pedagogical practices and are aligned with the educational priorities of Beloit College. She works closely with the dean’s office and the staff in residential life, admissions, foundation relations, international education, and the financial office to provide support for faculty and students.

A researcher and experienced teacher, Nuria holds an appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish and has previously taught at Rider University, Princeton, and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Her interests include gender and sexuality, language, race, and religion, and her articles have appeared in peer-reviewed journals (Bulletin of Hispanic Studies, eHumanista, Hispanófila) and in edited volumes. She holds a PhD in Hispanic Studies from Princeton University and a B.A. in Translation from the University of Alicante, Spain. A fluent speaker of Spanish, Catalan, English, and German, she worked as a professional translator in Berlin, Germany before coming to the U.S. in 2003.
