Matt Tedesco
Karen, who dreams of writing ethnographies in Latin America, double majors in English literature and anthropology and minors in Spanish. Her favorite faculty member is Matt Tedesco (seen above with Karen), an associate dean and associate philosophy professor, who was previously her advisor.
Center for the Sciences
Karen’s favorite places on campus are the fourth floor of the Center for the Sciences (she loves the breathtaking views of Beloit and the quietness) and her “spacious” dorm room in Maurer Hall.
Karen, who comes from nearby Madison, Wis., will be traveling far from home and school when she studies abroad in Ecuador soon. Here on campus, she’s involved in numerous activities such as Peace and Justice Club, Outdoor Environmental Club, Yoga Club, Theta Pi Gamma, and Rotaract Club.
