A Downers Grove, Ill. native, Josh is a biochemistry major. During his time at Beloit, he has been involved with Girls and Women in Science and has shared his research in plant immune systems during student symposium, in his presentation titled "Creating Transgenic Crops through the Studies of the Gene Fpgs in the Immune Response of Arabidopsis thaliana". Josh's favorite Beloit College event is the Olde English Classic. The Olde English is a cross country race in which the competitors run over an assortment of obstacles. The runners cross a creek, maneuver through bales of hay, jump over steeplechase barriers, and traverse through all kinds of terrain.

His favorite places off campus include
Turtle Creek and Anna Maria's Pizza
A part of the Bits & Pieces A capella group, Josh is also an RA, and captain of the cross country team.
