Schedule of shuttles available to students during the academic year to run errands or access bus service in the Beloit area.
The SEAL Shuttle program offers opportunities for students to get off-campus to run errands, go out to dinner, and get to/from the South Beloit Bus Station.

South Beloit Shuttles (by reservation only)
The Van Galder Bus Stop shuttle program transports students between campus and the Van Galder bus stop at the FasMart/MacDonalds Travel Plaza on Manchester Road in South Beloit. There is no charge for students to use this shuttle.
The shuttle runs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the semester. All reservations for shuttles on the weekend must be made by 1:00pm on the prior Friday. Please make your reservation by using this link: https://beloitshuttles.youcanbook.me/
Shuttles During Breaks
If you need a shuttle to take you to or from the bus during a break (Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break), Residence Life runs free shuttles that leave and return many times throughout the day. Please visit Residential Life’s Shuttle page for more information.
Enterprise CarShare Program
This program is subsidized through the Beloit Student Congress and offers an opportunity for students who choose to become Enterprise CarShare members an opportunity to get off campus and run errands, explore area communities, etc.

Local Bus Service
The City of Beloit has its own bus service providing transportation around the Beloit vicinity. Bus stops are located conveniently near Beloit College. Using this service, students can get nearly anywhere in Beloit at a relatively low cost. See their website for route information.
Bus Service Outside Beloit
If you need to take a bus outside Beloit, the Van Galder Bus Company, a subsidiary of Coach USA, provides service from Madison to Chicago with service to Rockford and other stops. Visit their website for information on fares and schedules.
Tickets can also be bought in the Accounting Office (2nd floor Pearsons) during the hours of 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. during the academic school year.
The South Beloit bus stop is located at the FasMart/McDonalds Travel Plaza near Interstate 90. This is not within walking distance of campus. The Student Engagement and Leadership Offices offers shuttles most weekends during select hours. The shuttles must be reserved in advance. Shuttles to and from the Van Galder bus stop surrounding scheduled college breaks are run through the Residence Life Office. Check for posters around campus or stop by to ask about the shuttle schedule for the upcoming break.
Greyhound has a bus terminal located in Beloit at Pilot Travel Center, 3001 Milwaukee Rd. Keep in mind that this terminal does not sell tickets, you will have to purchase them in advance from their website . This is not within walking distance of campus and campus shuttles do not service this stop. Most students will have a friend take them or call a cab.

The following are recreational venues and services that Beloit and surrounding area has to offer. Students should take advantage of all the opportunities the area has to offer!
Their season runs from the spring to the fall. Come enjoy this tradition of baseball!
City of Beloit Leisure Services : Ice Skating, Rec Leagues, Parks, etc.
If you’re willing to drive a little, the Pit Skate Park is located on 3212 Williams Ave in Rockford. This venue is for skateboarding and rollerblading. Call for more information at (815) 963-3929.
For a closer (and free!) option, Beloit’s Riverside Park, located just north of campus along the rock river, has a scenic rollerblade/bike path.
Bowling For the bowlers, Beloit has its own lanes a short drive from campus.
Diamond Lanes is located on 1218 Cranston Road in Beloit and can be reached at (608) 362-9166.
Viking Lanes is in nearby South Beloit on 210 Oak Grove Dr and can be reached at (815) 389-2238.
If you feel the need to see a good movie, listen to some good music, or, if you’re crazy enough, see some ballet. The following are some suggestions for places to relax and watch a good show.
For movies, Beloit’s own Schubert Luxury 10 Theater has 10 screens for your viewing entertainment, and is conveniently located close to campus at 1899 Cranston Rd.
For venues outside Beloit, there is one theater in Janesville, about 15 minutes north. Wildwood Movies 10 is located on 3100 Deerfield Dr.
The Beloit-Janesville Symphony Orchestra (BJSO) is a full symphony orchestra playing various venues around Beloit, Janesville, and beyond. They frequently play Eaton Chapel, so you don’t even have to leave campus!
Beloit’s Coughy Haus (C-Haus) is Beloit College’s own on-campus pub and concert venue. Located on the corner of College and Clary, the C-Haus offers recreation activities (pool, pinball, and air hockey while providing refreshments).

Clothing and General Supply Stores
Walgreens offers a wide selection of food and other items, and located within walking distance of campus. Located on 910 Broad St.
Walmart Supercenter is open 24 hours a day, Walmart has everything from clothes to groceries to toys. WalMart is located on 2785 Milwaukee Rd.
Stanton Shoes is a locally owned shoe store in downtown Beloit. It’s also just a short walk from campus! Stanton Shoes is located on 311 State St.
Rogans Shoes is located on 1960 Sutler Ave.
Beloit Floral located on 1205 Cranston Rd.
Emanuel the Florist is located on 903 E. Grand Ave.
Rindfleisch Flowers is located on 512 E Grand Ave.
Bushel and Pecks is a local food store, market, and restaurant focusing on organic and locally grown foods, located in downtown Beloit, just past the College’s bookstore. Bushel and Pecks is located on 328 State Street.
