As a student at Beloit College, Koont Htar’17 found herself constantly learning as she pursued a double-major, internships, and a campus job. The pursuit of learning equipped her well to become a product manager for Meta.

Taking a chance

Born and raised in Mumbai, Antariksh Sharma’23 was in his last year of high school when he was presented with two starkly different options: join the Indian Merchant Navy and travel the world aboard a commercial ship or move to the United States to study at Beloit College. He chose Beloit and hasn’t looked back.

Not a sentence looking for a punchline — it’s actually a true statement, and it illustrates the variety of paths three Beloit alums took to form the band Honey Cellar, a folk rock quartet based in Chicago.
