Normally, students are expected to meet with their Resident Assistant (RA) to walk through your room and note any damages. Students can instead do an express checkout if they cannot checkout with an RA (or feel they don’t need to). Each room will still reviewed for damages, and students who use express checkout cannot contest any charges that are assessed based on any damage in their room.
In addition to printing one yourself, you can get the Express Checkout Form from your RA, the Residential Life office, or Security. Return the form with key attached the Residential Life office, Security, or in-person to your RA.
The Residential Life office offers shuttle service between Beloit College and the nearby Van Galder Bus Stop in South Beloit, Illinois. Students often use this bus route to travel to and from O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois.
Please refer to the Academic Calendar for specific dates. The shuttles depart and arrive on campus at the corner of College Street and Clary Street by The Wall.
The College has several rooms with high security locks designated as student storage areas. These areas are opened by appointment and are available to all residence hall students who wish to store personal items. The College is not liable for items stored in hall storage areas.
Many of the special interest houses have additional storage for residents who currently live in the building or will be moving in the following semester.
