Get Credit for Your Classes

  1. Complete and submit responses to study abroad survey sent to you. Your responses inform study abroad advising and, if you choose, can be shared with prospective study abroad students.opportunities.
  2. Have your transcript sent to Kathy Landon at for conversion into Beloit College grades and credits and posting to your transcript.


  • Grades received abroad appear on transcripts, but are not used to calculate cumulative GPAs. The exception is for courses with Beloit College course codes, such as Cities in Transition and summer block courses
  • Grades earned through domestic off-campus study do figure into Beloit College GPA calculations.

Put Study Abroad on Your Resume

Become a Study Abroad Ambassador

Study Abroad Ambassadors advocate for study abroad and earn .25 or .5 units of credit for participating in group discussions, undertaking readings and various assignments, and conducting outreach activities. Ambassadors learn to apply a critical lens to their experiences abroad and play a key role in encouraging other Beloit students to study abroad. Contact:

Volunteer at the September off-campus studies fair to share your experiences and encourage other Beloit College students to study abroad. Contact or call 608 363-2269.

Share Advice at Study Abroad Orientations (October, April)

Suggest a discussion prompt and/or facilitate a table top discussion with students headed to your study abroad country or region. Contact or call ext. 608 363-2269.

Present in the International Symposium

This annual event held during International Education Week provides a forum for students to share the academic, personal, and professional growth that they achieved abroad with the rest of campus.

The 2019 International Symposium will take place on Wednesday, November 20th.
