Furniture Available in All Rooms
All rooms include:
- a chest of drawers
- a mirror
- a desk
- a chair
- a single bed and Twin XL mattress (36” x 80”)
- blinds or drapes
Some spaces, such as upper-level apartments, may include additional furniture.
Items to Bring with You
- Sheets (single 36” x 80”)
- Pillows and pillow cases
- Mattress pad
- Blanket/comforter
- Clothes for both warm and (very) cold weather
- Gym clothes/shoes
- Hangers
- Small sewing kit
- Laundry detergent
- Clothes hamper/laundry basket
- Towels
- Bathrobe
- Flip flops/shower shoes
- Toiletry basket
- Shampoo, conditioner, soap
- Hair brush, other hair products
- Contacts, contact solution, glasses
- Water bottle, water filter
- Personal care items
- Adhesive bandages, first aid kit
- Medicine/prescriptions/lock box to put them in
- Computer, laptop charger, computer accessories including a surge protector power strip
- Flash drive
- Paper, pens, pencils, erasers, highlighters, paper clips, stapler, Post-its, calculator, tape, folders, planner
- Backpack
- Refrigerator (maximum 3 cubic feet, coordinate with your roommate)
- Microwave (maximum 700 watts, coordinate with your roommate)
- Trash can
- Dry-erase/message board for your door
- Bed risers for extra storage under your bed
- Throw rug
- Desk lamp (but no halogen bulbs)
- Umbrella
- Toolkit
- Plates, mugs, cups, silverware
- Dish soap and sponge
- Paper towels
- Facial tissues
- Decor: plants, posters, wall hangings, photos, etc.
Items Not to Bring
The following items are not allowed on campus:
- Halogen lamps
- Pets (besides fish)
- Weapons of any kind
- Waterbeds
- Candles/incense
- Fireworks (not even sparklers)
- Toaster ovens
- Hot plates
- Air conditioners
