Career Exploration

We support you in shaping your own way forward linking your education, interests, and passions with practice through internships, jobs, shadowing, networking, volunteering, year of service and more.

Get Ready—Explore Careers

Take advantage of individualized consultations, interest and personality assessments, and workplace site visits. Make an appointment with a Career and Community Engagement staff member to discuss how to begin exploring your interests!

Each year, the Career and Community Engagement Center offers day-long, fall break “In Practice Trips”, which allow selected students to explore a field of interest, such as health care, environmental studies, or social entrepreneurship. The next In Practice Trip will be announced in August 2019.

Get Set—Discover Opportunities

We help you search for jobs and internships, domestically and abroad. Start early and check back often as competitive opportunity deadlines can start in October and appear throughout January and February. While individualized research is your best option, we have a list of reputable online resources for you to use as well.

The college also promotes networking opportunities for students to connect with Beloit alumni, on and off-campus.

Go—Enter the Workplace

As prepare to enter a new workplace, here are some things to think about related to professional attire and social identities in the workplace.
