Beloit College for receiving the 2018 Environmental Stewardship Award for Commercial Business from the City of Beloit. The award is presented annually to commercial businesses “that have shown outstanding environmental awareness and taken important measures to protect our environment,” according to the release. Representatives from the college will accept the award during the Annual Pretreatment Awards Banquet and Meeting on Tuesday, May 14.
Sylvia López, professor and holder of the Harry C. Moore Chair in Modern Languages and Literatures, who received the James R. Underkofler Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award, which is Beloit’s highest teach honor.
The nine faculty who were honored with emeriti status and all of the faculty and staff whose scholarly and creative achievements were celebrated at the Recognition Party on April 25.
