If you’re looking for a way to communicate your thoughts and ideas to project decision-makers, please fill out the Powerhouse Programmatic Needs Assessment survey. The survey, created by honors term student Shelby Kline, will inform many of the programmatic offerings in the building.

Powerhouse Director Steve Robinson will host office hours in Java Joint on April 19 between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. to answer your questions about the project and share opportunities for you to get involved. Student-led Powerhouse tours will be held on April 21 and April 28, from 2-3 p.m. Sign up for a tour. You can email Quin Brunner or Steve Robinson anytime with your questions, thoughts, and ideas.

The Powerhouse

The Powerhouse repurposes the decommissioned Blackhawk Generating Station on the Rock River into a 120,000-square-foot student center in every sense of the phrase. The Powerhouse will be a first-of-its-kind facility in the country—one that interlaces student life spaces with recreational facilities, further connects campus with the community, and preserves history while looking to the future.
