September 3, 2018

Washington Monthly's Annual College Guide and Ranking, included Beloit once again in this year's rankings. The publication, which has ranked four-year institutions for the last 13 years, uses three categories: social mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students), research (producing cutting-edge scholarship and PhDs), and service (encouraging students to give something back to their country) to decide what a school is doing for the country, according to its website.

Beloit ranked 38 out of 228 liberal arts colleges and appeared on the following lists:

  • Grad rate performance: 31
  • Net price rank : 30
  • Bachelors to PhD: 43
  • Peace Corps : 16
  • Percentage of federal work-study funds spent on service: 36
