Pamela McQuesten starts position as Beloit College's Chief Information Officer

Beloit, Wis.-- Pamela McQuesten has been named Beloit College's new chief information officer. She started her new position on Dec.1.

With more than three decades of experience in higher education and private industry, McQuesten comes to Beloit by way of Southwestern University, where she held the positions of vice president for information services and chief information officer.

At Beloit, she is a member of the college's senior staff and will be reporting to the President's Office. McQuesten is responsible for the college's department of information technology.

Her previous positions include: vice president for information resources and CIO at Occidental College, and senior level IT roles at California State University and the University of Texas- Austin.

McQuesten earned her bachelor's degree in journalism, Master of Arts in Education, and a Ph.D. from University of Texas-Austin and M.B.A. from St. Mary's College. She was a Frye Institute Fellow (2000), and has published works on various topics including technology and communication.
