Winter performances offer all that jazz

The fall semester is coming to a close. It’s time to unwind by checking out all the awesome performances in the next couple weeks as students wrap up a semester of hard work and dedicated creativity.

On Thursday, Dec. 1, the North Atlantic Music Ensemble will hold its fall concert in Eaton Chapel at 7:30 p.m. NAME continues to bring new sounds to campus with their ever-evolving company of musicians.

December Dance bursts on the stage on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2-3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Neese Theater. A show composed entirely of student-choreographed works, this is an event sure to amaze audiences with the complexity and skill of choreographers and dancers alike.

A new creative group on campus, the InterArts Ensemble, put together a collaborative show along with the Introduction to Music Composition course on Friday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Eaton Chapel. The performance includes exciting cooperative projects between writers, actors, dancers, musicians, visual, and multimedia artists as well as original work written for instruments, voice, and electronic media.

On Sunday, Dec. 4, Eaton Chapel will ring out with the college’s annual Holiday Choir Concert. An event sure to bring some warm and fuzzy feelings on a cold winter night, the concert is a popular evening with students, faculty, and community members alike.


The Evening on Broadway Recital of vocal students will be on Wednesday, Dec. 7 in Moore Lounge at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy a little razzle-dazzle and all that jazz with selections from classic shows as well as numbers from new musicals.
