Comic books and comic book cutlure, including the Marvel universe, have become go-to locales for millennials and others interested in depictions of diverse identities. In fact, American popular culture has been working over time in recent years as a tool of subtle and not-so subtle representations of race, religion, and gender. This event showcases interpretations of two Marvel Comics projects -- The Black Panther and Wonder Woman -- as crafted by students in the religious studies seminar, "Marvel's Take on Religion and Race."
