Lesley Bartlett is a Professor in Educational Policy Studies and a faculty affiliate in Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. An anthropologist by training who works in the field of International and Comparative Education, Professor Bartlett does research in literacy studies (including multilingual literacies), migration, and educator professional development. She is the author, co-author, or co-editor of Additive Schooling in Subtractive Times, Refugees, Immigrants, and Education in the Global South, Critical Approaches to Comparative Education, Teaching in Tension: International Pedagogies, National Policies, and Teachers' Practices in Tanzania, and The Word and the World: The Cultural Politics of Literacy in Brazil.
