Tabias Olajuawon Wilson, JD, the 2018 Ousley Scholar-in-Residence, is an author, consultant, speaker, scholar-creator, and Ph.D. student, who was selected as one of BlogHERs 2017 Voices of The Year. Wilson’s work focuses on the intersections and compounded effects of race, law, sexuality, and gender in the United States.

The Ousley Scholar In Residency honors the legacy of Grace Ousley, the first black woman to graduate from Beloit College, and is a junior scholar/activist/organizer/intellectual who is committed to the theory and practice of social justice. The scholars embody the “academic hustler” who fights for “social justice” in all aspects of their work.

The Ousley Residency receives support from the Weissberg Program in Human Rights and Social Justice.
