Ahead of its next installment taking place on Wednesday, March 26, Beloit College’s biannual Advising Practicum has undergone some changes. Along with more student-run, all-campus workshops and a pared-down schedule, the event is now called Connecting Beloit: An Advising Practicum.

Robert Mirabile has been named the new vice president for enrollment at Beloit College. Mirabile, who will assume his new role in May, comes to Beloit from Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he has served as assistant vice president for enrollment analytics since 2010.

From dramas to animation to romance, five French language films will be shown during Beloit College’s annual Tournées Festival running Fridays from March 21 – April 18. Each film will start at 7 p.m. and take place in Richardson Auditorium, Morse-Ingersoll Hall. The screenings are free and open to the public.

ASIANetwork has awarded Assistant Professor of Economics Diep Phan and four students a $24,595 student-faculty fellow grant to conduct research in Vietnam this summer. ASIANetwork is a consortium of more than 170 North American colleges that strives to strengthen the role of Asian studies within the framework of liberal arts education.
