Known as the first-ever global health day, World AIDS Day is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV.
In celebration, Beloit College will be hosting a free community event on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Hendricks Center for the Performing Arts, 409 Pleasant St. A health fair will take place at 6 p.m., followed by speakers sharing their personal stories about HIV/AIDS at 7 p.m.
