In U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges” issue on newsstands now, Beloit College tied for No. 59 in the category of the top 240 liberal arts colleges nationwide.
Beloit was also included in the category of A-Plus Schools for B Students, a non-ranked listing of 76 national liberal arts colleges where good students – B students – have a “decent shot of being accepted and thriving.”
In addition, Beloit was one of four Wisconsin colleges and universities to be profiled in the “Take a Road Trip” feature, which also included select higher education institutes from California and Virginia.
“Students are given ownership of their academic path (with guidance), and taking the scenic route is encouraged,” reporter Kelsey Sheehy wrote of Beloit.
Other online-only categories Beloit was included in were: Best Undergrad Teaching (#10 on a list of 18 national liberal arts colleges), Recommended by High School Counselors (#73 on a list of 240 national liberal arts colleges), Up-and-Comers (tied at No. 6 on a short list of national liberal arts colleges) and Strong Focus on Student Success – Study Abroad (a non-ranked listing of 31 national colleges and universities).
