Weissberg Human Rights lecture to be given by Paul Fishstein’76 of Tufts University

Challenges for humanitarianism in Afghanistan will be the topic of a lecture at Beloit College on Monday, Sept. 23. Free and open to the public, it will take place in Moore Lounge, Pearsons Hall at 8 p.m.

Titled "Competing or Complementary Mandates: Challenges for Humanitarianism in Post-2001 Afghanistan," the annual Weissberg Human Rights lecture will focus on the dilemmas and challenges confronted by humanitarian and development organizations operating alongside military forces in the politically-charged environment of the U.S. intervention in Afghanistan.

Paul Fishstein'76, a visiting fellow at Tufts University's Feinstein International Center, will give the lecture.
