Beloit College’s Advising Practicum was once again featured in a major news outlet. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel wrote about the program, now in its second year, in “Liberal arts colleges emphasizing practical experience” published on Nov. 22.
Reporter Karen Herzog came to Beloit to cover Advising Practicum where she interviewed students and attended sessions including “Choosing a Major: Life Partner or Social Change?” led by Charles Westerberg, director of the Liberal Arts in Practice Center.
“CEOS are looking for critical thinking, creative problem solving, communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team,” Herzog noted Westerberg as telling the packed classroom of approximately 50 students.
