Last Friday, nearly one hundred Beloit College students from across campus submitted their art work to the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition. Today (Monday), this year’s juror, Trent Miller, will deliberate on what pieces will be included in the show, as well as which Beloit students will be awarded prizes and recognition. Approximately 30 works of various media types will be exhibited in this annual show that highlights the artistic breadth found among Beloit College’s students.
Miller is a professional artist currently residing in Madison. Miller brings to the exhibition years of experience and insight. He received his Master of Fine Art degree from Boston University, and his resume boasts numerous solo and group exhibitions from New York to Madison.
The Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition is hosted jointly by the Department of Art and Art History and the Wright Museum of Art. A reception will be held at the Wright Museum on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. to celebrate these student artists and their work.
