After studying biochemistry at Beloit, Angela Moten Russell’99 planned to become a pediatrician. But she discovered an interest in public health and social justice that led her down a surprising path in a corporate setting.
It’s official: Beloit’s Powerhouse received a clear green light in late April from the board of trustees, and the college is set to kick off the $38 million project June 9, during the college’s 2017 Reunion.
At the fourth annual Showcase in April, the college’s premier event for celebrating philanthropy, Dave’49 and Anne Myers received the D.K. Pearsons Award for their extraordinary support of Beloit, specifically Beloit’s entrepreneurship program.
