Rosa Black-on-White - CA. 1000-1130

Rosa Black-on-White was one of the formative types in the San Padro Mountains area to the northwest of Santa Fe. It is similar to La Plata Black-on-White in appearance, but the designs are somewhat different, being more curvilinear.

Temper: Fine sand
Surface: Smoothed, no slip
Forms: Bowls and jars
Design: Solid, bold motifs, curvilinear and painted with broad lines.
