Greg Casey Hanrahan’86

In the 2023-24 academic year, Greg Casey Hanrahan joined the faculty as an instructor in Sports Management. Before returning to his alma mater, he was an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business Sport Management. Currently, he serves as a Business Incubator Mentor and Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Lake Forest High School.

Prior to his teaching and coaching career, Greg was the Senior Director of Premium Seating Sales and Services for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks, and United Center for 37 years. His time in professional sports provided him with a wealth of experience in developing revenue streams, sales, marketing, business development, strategic planning and management, customer service, operations, and hospitality in professional sports. During his tenure at the United Center, his team was credited with introducing various innovative premium seating products, including the all-inclusive Theater Boxes. Alongside other front office personnel, he earned six World Champion NBA rings and three NHL Stanley Cup championships.

Throughout his professional sports career, Greg served on the Bulls, Blackhawks, and United Center executive COVID, technology, marketing, operations, and ownership committees. He also held the position of President and board member of the Association of Luxury Suite Directors and the Ohio University Sports Management School.

Academically, Greg received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Education from Beloit College in 1986, where he served on Beloit’s Education Department Faculty Board and was awarded the Outstanding Education Student Scholarship. He was also a Trustee of the Beloit College Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and a member of the Beloit College President’s Advisory Board. In 2023, he obtained certification in the Experiential Entrepreneurship Educator Program at Notre Dame University.
