Description
Beloit College invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in biochemistry to begin August 2025. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemical biology, chemistry, or related field and be able to teach lab-based courses in biochemistry and general chemistry. Willingness to teach courses in another area of chemistry (such as physical and/or analytical chemistry) is preferred. We especially seek candidates who have demonstrated success in working with diverse populations of students. This position is an excellent opportunity to teach in a department known for innovative pedagogy.
The successful candidate will also develop a research program that engages undergraduates. This position places strong emphasis on advising undergraduate students in Biochemistry, Chemistry, and our multidisciplinary programs in Health Sciences and Environment & Sustainability. The candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to all-college programs and serve in leadership roles in campus governance.
