Hello Beloiters! This is the last Beloiters Beat of the year. We will be back in your inboxes when we near the start of the spring semester in January.

A strong finish

Students, make sure you’ve checked out the requirements for moving out at the end of the week. We wish you the best in finishing your last papers, projects, and exams. You’ve worked so hard this semester — time to finish strong!

To all of the campus community: thank you for making the semester great. Have a wonderful winter break — you deserve it.

Looking ahead

Here’s a sneak peek at what you can look forward to in the new year!

  • Join the Career Accelerator sessions from Jan. 6-10 to explore summer possibilities and learn the skills and insights needed to stand out in the competitive world of internships and job applications.
  • Campus dining has transformed over the last few months, first with the renovation and re-opening of DKs in Pearsons. When you return to campus, Hamiltons in the Powerhouse will open as the main dining hall on campus. We’re excited for what Commons will become!
  • You might have also heard of Dean of Students Cecil Youngblood’s retirement. After 27 years of service at Beloit, Cecil retires on Dec. 31. Associate Provost Ron Watson will fulfill the position on Jan. 1. Congratulations, Cecil and Ron!
