Hello Beloiters!

It’s the last week of classes before finals, with plenty of fun (and productive study sessions) to be had before next week. Be well and do your best — we know you’ll do great!

Work hard…

Thursday’s Night Against Procrastination, from 7:30 to 11:30 in the library, is a good chance to chip away at your final papers and projects with snacks, de-stress activities, tutoring, and research support.

…and play hard

Be sure to take a break from your studies on Tuesday night starting at 7 p.m. at the Powerhouse for the Winter Carnival, complete with food, arts and crafts, and music in various rooms around the building.

It’s also your last chance to enjoy the season’s last music performances. Go out and support your classmates before the end of the semester.

Sports recap

  • Women’s basketball had a home match up on Tuesday against Marian University. Sophomore guard Kaelie Moreno’27 led a second half charge by making a career-high 13 points with four three-pointers, one of which tied the game with just under eight seconds left. After a questionable foul call on the next possession, the Bucs fell, 51-50. They will open conference play with a home game against Lawrence University on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
  • Men’s basketball hosted Rockford University last Wednesday for their only game of the week. Dae’Quan Davis’26 led the Bucs in scoring with 16 points off the bench in a very efficient fashion, going 8-12 from the field. The first half deficit was ultimately too large and they lost the game, 74-62. They open conference play against Lawrence University on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
