Finishing up her first year at Beloit College, costume and makeup designer Shelbi Wilkins has worked as a costume designer, wig designer, costume technician, costume crafts artisan, and makeup artist. Her design credits include the premier productions of The Left Hand of Darkness and Successful Strategies; costume and makeup designs for The Moors, Men on Boats, Scorched, The Marriage of Figaro, and Emperor of the Moon. Shelbi has served as a draper on shows such as Les Miserables, Mother Courage and her Children, and Duchess of Malfi. Shelbi likes slightly embellishing stories about her cats to make them sound smarter than Alicia and Marina’s cats. A Montana native, she enjoys any opportunity to spend time outdoors. Shelbi especially enjoyed her time in Oregon backpacking the Cascades and exploring local wineries.

Shelbi enjoys teaching students anything from history and research methods to silk painting and millinery.
