[PERC 104] Introduction to Weight Training
This .25 unit course is designed to help students learn the basics of weight training, including proper techniques and the safe way to use weights in their overall training. Using free weights, machines, weighted balls as well as body weight, they will learn the areas of the body that each exercise works on. They will learn the different types of weight training, power, strength, training to lose weight and for tone. Students will learn how to set up their own training programs based on the goals set at the beginning of the class.
NOTE: No more than a total of 1.0 unit of PERC courses may apply to a Beloit degree. Any one PERC course may only be taken once for credit.
