Mic Brunner grew up in Prior Lake, MN, just south of the Twin Cities. He has bachelors degrees in Education, Math, and Music from Concordia University Chicago (IL) and a masters degree in Organizational Leadership in Education from Newman University (KS). From 2014-2016 he was the Student Life Coordinator at Newman University (KS) and from 2016-2019 he was the Assistant Director of Student Activities and Building Operations at Longwood University (VA).
Here are a few notable projects/achievements of his:
  • Assisted in the opening of a new University Center at Longwood University in the fall of 2018
  • Recipient of 2019 NACA’s Greatest Campus Tradition award for the small school category
  • Assisted with programming surrounding the 2016 US Vice Presidential Debate
  • Designed and implemented an intramurals program from scratch at Newman University
  • Ranked the 20th best Settlers of Catan player in the nation in 2015
  • Acted in a national Jimmy John’s commercial in 2013
