Topics in Biology: Plants and People

An exploration of the biological aspects of the human uses of plants for food, fiber, shelter, medicine, and other purposes. The course will also examine the role that people and plants play in climate change, habitat modification, and ecosystem services. Students will collaborate to develop oral and written research presentations throughout the semester.

Course Format Description

A mixture of synchronous activities held online, outdoors, and in class during scheduled course times and asynchronous activities. Options will be available for students who cannot meet synchronously during scheduled course times. Students on and off campus are welcome to participate.
