Society and Culture

An introduction to cultural anthropology which is the study of human cultures, both historical and contemporary. Students analyze the ways in which social categories are imagined, reproduced, and grounded within particular historical and geographical contexts around the world, in order to understand how humans create meaning through everyday practices.

Asynchronous lectures will be available three times a week (MWF). Students will be required to attend synchronus tutorials with the instructor and/or TA once a week (T or Th), with sections available on campus or online.
