Academic Specialties and Other Interests
I am a professor in the department of Physics and Astronomy, and also an advisor in the 3:2 Engineering program. I’m a planetary astronomer, and I study the rings of Saturn. You can find me teaching a course on orbital mechanics using Kerbal Space Program or playing board games with the students in the physics lounge, and I’m one of those people who is always knitting in meetings and presentations.
One of the best things about being a professor at Beloit College is getting to know my students as whole people, whether they are physics students or my first-year advisees, so I’m looking forward to finding out about your interests, goals, and plans!
