Food Recovery Network Coordinator
Coordination of the Food Recovery Network and other food-related sustainability efforts. The Food Recovery Network project involves coordinating and serving as contacts for the Beloit College chapter of the Food Recovery Network, which is the largest student movement fighting food waste and hunger in America. Students will track pounds of food recovered and transport food from Commons, Java Joint, and DKs to our partner agency, the Caritas Food Pantry in Beloit. Deliveries will be made two or three times per week. Students will also work with Bon Appétit and the Sustainability Office to educate the campus on ways to reduce food-related waste.
Each of the three students is expected to work 4 to 6 hours per week. Students will use college vans for transportation to Caritas, so they must possess a valid driver’s license and become van certified.
