After graduating from Beloit in 2005, Leah has worked with a variety of Chicago dance artist but has found her home with The Space/Movement Project. For five seasons she has worked closely with other members of the company to share the role as artistic director and fearlessly explore collaborative choreography. In addition to providing an excellent dance education, Beloit also taught Leah the importance of continued academic and social justice pursuits. Leah completed a masters degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago in 2009 where she studied social welfare policy, community organizing and the low-wage labor market. She currently works as an organizer for the American Federation of Teachers.
