After graduating from Beloit College in May of 2008, Chrystle went on to study physical therapy. She was able to continue her jazz dance training at Mesa State College in Colorado while completing her prerequisite coursework for graduate school. Chrystle then received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Pacific University in 2012. During her time at Pacific, Chrystle danced and choreographed for Winter Physical Therapy Comedy performances each year, and took a variety of dance classes at Vega Dance Lab in downtown Portland, OR in her free time. In addition, Chrystle studied abroad at Universidad Autònoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico during the summer of 2010. There she continued her coursework and clinical studies in physical therapy and medical Spanish, while also having the opportunity to study Latin rhythms such as salsa, bachata, reggaeton, cha-cha-cha, and merengue at the university. Currently Chrystle is working as an outpatient physical therapist at Coal Creek Physical Therapy in Louisville, CO. In her spare time, she dances at Streetside Dance Studio in Boulder, CO. She has been involved with two performing troupes with Streetside in the past year. Most recently, Chrystle was able to perform at Boulder Dancing with the Stars with her Groovalicious dance troupe to help fundraise for the YWCA, an organization whose mission is to eliminate racism and empower women, children and their families within the Boulder community. As Chrystle continues to practice dance and physical therapy, she has discovered that her studies of movement through dance have given her intuition when practicing physical therapy, and she is excited to see where her passion for dance and physical therapy will take her in the future!
