I teach all levels of French, Introduction to French Literature (19th, 20th, and 21st Century), Francophone postcolonial Literature, Gender, Race and Sexuality Studies, African & Afro-Caribbean Literature, Maghrebian Studies, and Global Black Literature.

Research Interests

My research interests focus on Black Atlantic Studies, Comparative African-American and Francophone Literatures, and Race/ Gender Studies. My current project tentatively entitled Abject Citizens: Critical Race and Political Belonging in France and the U.S examines forms of political power and practices that create the contemporary French and American societies
