Josh Moore is the director of the Center for Immersive and Experiential Learning Opportunities (CIELO) and the co-director, with Dr. Atiera Coleman, of the Weissberg Program in Human Rights and Social Justice. The Weissberg Program helps students, faculty and staff bring change-makers addressing critical social and global issues to Beloit’s campus, and empowers students to apply their learning beyond the campus. Josh works with student leaders to develop Spring Break Immersion activities around topics they are passionate about, and he also directs Beloit College’s summer immersion courses.
Before assuming his current role in 2019, Josh spent eleven years as Associate Director of the Office of International Education at Beloit College. Prior to coming to Beloit, he spent five years with Africa Consultants International in Dakar, Senegal, where he was Associate Director for Study Abroad and Communication. He holds an MA in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame’s Kroc Institute. He is passionate about conflict resolution, restorative justice, journalism, and graphic design, and he enjoys carpentry and playing music.Edit my profile
