[SPAN 250] Literary and Non-Literary Translation


An introduction to the theories and practice of translation from Spanish to English and English to Spanish, this course familiarizes students with the techniques and processes used to translate different media– e.g., newspapers, magazines, Internet sites– as well as literary texts. In addition to perfecting their linguistic and stylistic expression, students develop writing, editing, and proofreading skills essential for producing clear and polished translations.
