The purpose of Russian Club is to educate the campus about Russian life and language. To enlighten the campus community about current events and the history of Russia and its culture. We attempt to do this by holding Russian teas every Sunday, cooking a Russian dinner once a semester for the campus, and organizing cultural event to share with the campus. We coordinate these events with the assistance/guidance of professors Olga Ogurtsova and Donna Oliver.
Membership is open to any Beloit College student. Members of the club who live in the Russian house fill all executive positions. Members of the club are encouraged to live in the house, at some point in their Beloit College careers. The officers and members of the club who are living in the Russian House represent the club at the various funding boards of student government.
