[IDST 228] Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Quest for Racial Justice


An examination of selected writings and speeches of Martin Luther King, Jr., along with related secondary materials dealing with his life and his place in the civil rights movement’s quest for racial justice. Interdisciplinary work will focus on philosophy, theology, history, sociology, ethics, politics, the media, and black experience expressed in literature, the arts, and religion.
