Emerging Diseases class runs a body fluid exposure simulation

Assistant Professor of Biology Rachel Bergstrom’s Emerging Diseases class runs a body fluid exposure simulation to learn about the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for protecting against disease transmission. Healthcare-related transmission of infectious diseases is a major risk in an epidemic situation, and proper use of PPE is an important first line of prevention against new cases.
