- Betty Brehm Whitson’47, active community member; May 23, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Whitson’50, and is survived by a daughter, two sons, and her great nephew, Brandon Howard’20.
- Grace Foss Puls’49; Jan. 19, 2023, in Hinsdale, Illinois. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Puls’51, and a son. Survivors include two daughters.
- Edward G. Scully’49; Feb. 2023, in Urbana, Ohio. He was predeceased by a son and is survived by his wife, Barbara Scully, and a daughter.

- Stanley Crosland’51, retired director of parks and recreation; June 11, 2024, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Crosland, and is survived by two daughters.
- Rowland J. McClellan’51, retired chairman and CEO of Valley Bank, active community member; July 14, 2024, in Janesville, Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his wife, Audrey McClellan, and is survived by a son and two daughters.
- Virginia Radford Cooley’52; July 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Douglas R. Cooley’50, and is survived by three daughters.
- Susan Waggoner Beeby’53, retired elementary school teacher; May 27, 2024, in Redding, Connecticut. She was predeceased by her sister, Audre Waggoner’51, brother-in-law, Thomas Beeby’61, and a daughter. Survivors include her husband, Robert Beeby’52, brother-in-law, Kenneth Beeby’58, and a son.
- David R. Duffell’53, U.S. Air Force veteran, retired pathologist; May 20, 2024, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was predeceased by two sons and is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Duffell.
- Doris Stimm Forbes’53; June 28, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by a daughter and two sons, including Daniel Forbes’80.
- Julius Pellegrini’53, Korean War veteran, retired high school teacher; July 21, 2024, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara Tarczali Pellegrini’56, a son, and two daughters. A son predeceased him in 2023.
- Stanley York’53, retired public servant, active community member, recipient of Beloit College’s Distinguished Service Citation; July 21, 2024, in Madison, Wisconsin. Survivors include his wife, Emily York, brother, John York’60, a son, and two daughters.
- Edwin P. Neubauer’57, U.S. Army veteran, former owner of Neubauer’s Sporting Goods; June 21, 2024, in Beloit, Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his former wife, Jane Karr Threinen’56, and a son. Survivors include his children, Ken Neubauer and Kathy Neubauer Landon.
- Marjorie Fifield Fries’55, retired registered nurse, published poet; May 25, 2024, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Fries, and a son. Survivors include two sons.
- Charles E. Heyward’55, former owner of Heyward Antiques; March 6, 2024, in Williamsburg, Virginia. He was predeceased by his wife, Arlene Albrecht Heyward’56, and is survived by a daughter and a son.
- Roger D. Pearson’55, U.S. Air Force veteran, retired dentist; May 30, 2024, in Marco Island, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Donna Pearson, a son, and two daughters.
- Connie Abrahamson Dettloff’56, avid knitter, community volunteer; May 15, 2024, in Madison, Wisconsin. Survivors include her husband, Rick Dettloff, a daughter, and two sons.
- Edgar H. Bristol’57, U.S. Army veteran, retired electrical engineer; June 7, 2024, in Foxborough, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his wife, Julia Bristor, mother, Lida Brannon Bristol (1923), aunt, Eleanor Brannon Ballard (1919), and uncle, Lloyd V. Ballard (1912). Survivors include his sister, Eleanor Bristol Woodason’61, and three daughters, including Virginia Bristol’87.
- Kay Kisker Komp’58, retired teacher; Jan. 28, 2024, in Chanhassen, Minnesota. She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Komp’58.
- Nancy Woelffer’59, retired teacher; March 14, 2023, in Lake Forest, Illinois. She is survived by numerous relatives.

- Elsa Andresen Rockwell’60, retired social worker; July 1, 2024, in Fair Oaks, California. She is survived by two sons, including Erling Rockwell’87.
- Robert S. Rowan’60, Korean War Veteran, retired carpenter; May 18, 2024, in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Rowan, and is survived by a son and three daughters.
- Morteza L. Mazaheri’61, professor emeritus at the University of North Dakota; May 14, 2024, in Casa Grande, Arizona. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Sharon Mazaheri, a daughter, and a son.
- Thomas F. Mullaney’61, U.S. Navy veteran, founder of Mullaney, Keating & Wright, Inc., recipient of Beloit College’s Distinguished Service Citation; Aug. 26, 2024, in West Hartford, Connecticut. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Catherine Mullaney, and is survived by a son and a daughter.
- Richard J. Ketchum’63, retired professor of philosophy; May 21, 2024, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Jill Ketchum.

- Diane Robertson Callahan’65, retired librarian; Aug. 31, 2024, in Concord, New Hampshire. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Callahan.
- Dr. John C. Hunter’66, U.S. Air Force veteran, retired radiologist; May 29, 2024, in Sacramento, California. He is survived by his wife, Eva Escobedo.
- Charles P. Kane’66, U.S. Army veteran, retired salesman; Aug. 31, 2024, in Woodstock, Illinois. He was predeceased by his wife, Andrea Alt Kane’66, and is survived by numerous family members.
- Mark Steinback’68, retired research scientist, lifelong learner; June 23, 2024, in Pasadena, California. He is survived by his wife, Myriam, a daughter, and two sons.
- Charles (Randy) Whitchurch’68, U.S. Army veteran, retired CFO with Zebra Technologies, community activist; Aug. 21, 2024, in Door County, Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his mother, Jane Christensen Whitchurch’43, and is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jane Whitchurch, and a daughter.
- William L. Gansner’69, retired attorney and municipal judge, former instructor of legal studies at Beloit College; March 15, 2024, in Madison, Wisconsin. Survivors include his wife, Maria Swift, sister-in-law, Susan Gosin’72, three sons, and two stepdaughters.

- John W. Chellino’73, retired attorney and translator; June 20, 2024, in Miami, Florida. He is survived by numerous family members.
- Cathleen Blaze Kupke’73, May 17, 2024, in Leesburg, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Ken Kupke, and two sons.
- Robert W. Friend’75, retired telecommunications consultant, skilled craftsman; Aug. 2, 2024, in Berkeley, California. He was predeceased by a son and is survived by a daughter and a son.
- Linda Abronski’76, local performer, founding member of Artists’ Ensemble Theater; Aug. 17, 2024, in Rockford, Illinois. She is survived by her husband, Steve Vrtol.

- Marci Frederick’82, director of libraries and divinity student; Aug. 25, 2024, in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Paul, a daughter, and a brother.
- Kent A. Carlson’84, former program coordinator; July 6, 2024, in Concord, Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife, Robin Carlson, a son, and a daughter.
- Andrew E. Alt’87, freelance writer, avid gardener and cook; Aug. 30, 2024, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Alt, and two daughters.
