Meet our new Democracy Fellows

Allan Padron’25 and Israel Zewdie’26 are bringing attention to the April 4 Wisconsin Supreme Court election.

Say hello to Allan Padron’25 and Israel Zewdie’26!

They’re the new Democracy Fellows on campus, bringing attention to the April 4 Wisconsin Supreme Court election. You’ve probably already seen them at trivia night or onboard the February election day shuttles.

The two encourage eligible students to exercise their right to vote and provide information on voter registration, the voting process, and how to learn more about candidates.

“I was inspired to be a Democracy Fellow to make a difference on our campus,” Allan says. “I am surrounded by other [Fellows] who share the same goal, to inspire change on their campuses, and I love being a part of it.”

Thank you, Allan and Israel, for encouraging the spirit of Democracy and voting on campus!

Join them for these events:

Wednesday, March 29 • Voting simulation • Powerhouse Turbine Hall • 12-1:30 p.m. The Beloit League of Women Voters comes to campus to dispel anxiety around filling out a ballot.

Thursday, March 30 • Wisconsin Supreme Court election awareness event with Stacie Rosenzweig • President’s Lounge • noon-1:30 p.m.
