Health and wellness update Fall 2022
Testing
As a reminder, proof of a negative COVID-19 test result is required to be submitted before the start of the fall semester for all faculty, staff, and students. See the college’s full COVID-19 plan.
Vaccines
We strongly encourage faculty and staff to remain “up-to-date” on their COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters according to CDC guidelines. All students are required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. Disease can spread quickly at a small residential college and the college has an interest in protecting individuals and the campus community from the devastating consequences that can result when a student contracts one of these illnesses.
Reproductive health services
As a reminder, the Health and Wellness Center offers sexual and reproductive health services to all Beloit College students.
These services include:
- Gynecological care
- STI exams, testing, and treatment
- Contraceptive care
- Free condoms
- Pregnancy testing and referral information
We remain committed to providing our students with accurate medical information and education to empower them to make the best decisions for their health. During this uncertain time, we will continue to support our students by staying abreast of current policies and available resources.
Monkeypox
Monkeypox is a rare but potentially serious disease that is caused by the monkeypox virus. Monkeypox can spread from infected humans, animals, and materials contaminated with the virus. We continue to monitor the spread of Monkeypox in Wisconsin.
