Kim graduated from Beloit College in 2005 with a triple major in Studio Art, Dance and Women’s Studies. After graduating she lived in her hometown of Minneapolis, MN until moving to New Zealand for a bit of self exploration. After returning to the states she attended Maryland Institute College of Art and received a MFA in Photographic and Electronic Media. Kim was honored to be showcased in Art Chicago and Art Prize in 2009. Without the Studio Art degree she would have never had the language and visual perspective to pursue a MFA.
When Kim graduated she got a job in San Francisco, CA as a Production Manager in a fine art print lab. During her time in San Francisco, CA she pursued her photography and became a Pilates instructor. After 2 years Kim relocated to Asheville, North Carolina for a taste of bluegrass music, photography, Pilates and craft beer. In 2013 Kim finally moved back to Minneapolis, MN. Since 2013 she immersed herself in the marketing and technology realm. Kim is now the Director of Demand Generation at Digital Solutions. Kim attributes her strengths in problem solving, visual perception, design aesthetic and desire to learn to her Studio Art degree at Beloit College. She uses these tools on a daily basis. Kim’s advice to her college self is, “Stay curious, absorb knowledge from wherever you can, don’t give up and you will find your way.”
